Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the Seasons of Steel team, who runs the game. By playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.

You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.

Your account

You can play as a guest or sign in with Google, Apple or an email and password. A guest lord lives only on the device it was made on: if that device's data is cleared or lost, so is the lord. Link a sign-in in Settings to keep it.

Your lord name is shown to other players. It must not impersonate anyone, or be offensive or hateful; we may change or remove names that are. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you're responsible for what's done with your account.

Fair play

Don't use bots, scripts, macros or modified clients, and don't exploit bugs: report them instead. Don't attack the game's servers, or try to reach anyone else's account or data. Don't buy, sell or trade accounts, items or gems for real money outside the game.

Chat, mail and conduct

Be civil. Harassment, hate, threats, sexual content involving minors, spam, scams and sharing other people's private information aren't allowed, in chat, mail, names or anywhere else. Fighting other players is the game; abusing them is not.

What you write may be seen by other players. We may read it to look into reports and enforce these terms.

Worlds and seasons

Worlds run in seasons of a few months. When a season ends, its worlds reset: cities, armies, resources and most progress are gone, and only what the game says carries over (such as heroes banked in the Hall of Legends, cosmetics and gems) is kept. We may open, merge or close worlds.

Gems and virtual items

Gems, items, heroes and everything else in the game are a licence to use them in the game, not property you own. They have no value outside the game, can't be exchanged for money, and may be changed or rebalanced. Except where the law says otherwise, purchases are final and aren't refunded.

Mutes, bans and leaving

If you break these terms we may warn you, mute you, take back what was gained unfairly, or suspend or close your account, depending on how serious it is. You can stop playing at any time, and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).

No guarantees

The game is provided as it is. It may have bugs, go down, change or one day end. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, or for more than what you paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.

Changes and law

We may change these terms; if a change matters, we'll tell you in the game before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
